The time for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election is coming up soon. And the that precious time will be given to the each residents of the 41,000+ barangays of this nation.

People is said to be honored to the responsible citizenry of this country on October 25, 2010 as the Barangay and SK Elections will be taking place. Since the last Barangay and SK Election of 2007 what are the changes that took place in your barangay?

Honestly, there is no GOOD transformation or GOOD changes that really happened for the past 3-years. The past 3-years was as terrible as it may look. Barangay Hall in our barangay now has its temporary location. And I may say that the people inside that hall is our temporary barangay officials.

I say this clear, I AM NOT TURNING MY BACK TO MY PEOPLE, MY BARANGAY, MY FUTURE. I will be running again for the second time as a barangay councilor. For I have intentions in solving some of the problems that hinders progress in our beloved barangay. WITHOUT this kind of barangay officials in our barangay PROGRESS will be coming as fast as the F1 in their grand prix events.

I am not into a postponement of this year's barangay and SK elections. No to Postponement and Yes to Progress...

May this blog be my contribution to the Filipino people who are now rallying for the stoppage of the Arroyo's tune of Cha-Cha.

This day, people will converge at the city streets of Makati and Manila to show protest to the House Resolution 1109, convening the Congress into a Constituent Assembly. Which is for me a very drastic move towards the extension of Gloria Arroyo in presidency.

I do not oppose the change to our constitution especially to those provisions that are now obsolete and not applicable to our society anymore. This is not the right time for this change to be tackled by the government.

This is my stand...No to Charter Change Until Gloria vacated her seat. No To Charter Change until this Crocodiles in both Chambers of Congress vanished from their seats. Instead Push for the Poll Automation on May 2010 elections and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER POSTPONE the BARANGAY ELECTIONS.

Manny Pacquiao Forms NEW Political Party

Emmanuel Pacquiao in real life, the ring icon has formally petitioned the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to accredit his organization—called the People’s Champ Movement—as a “local political party.”

As a “local” party, the People’s Champ Movement (PCM) is fielding candidates only for local positions in General Santos City and Sarangani province—all but confirming widespread speculation that Pacquiao would seek a seat in the House of Representatives, or maybe run for mayor, in the 2010 elections.

Comelec commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer revealed on Monday that Pacquiao filed a petition last December asking the poll body to accredit his party called People's Champ Movement.

Ferrer said the Comelec recently heard the petition, which has been up for a ruling. The political party could only field candidates for local posts in General Santos and Sarangani Province, the Comelec said.

Philippine Troops are now preparing to attack the Islamic insurgents holding the three Red Cross hostages in the jungle skirts of Sulu.

The governor of the said province authorized the government militants to take necessary actions against the Abu Sayyaf Group and advised the civilians to stay out of the way and take refuge as looming military actions would take place.

"One of the hostages are not harmed", the Governor Abdusakur Tan said.

"It looks useless to communicate with them (kidnappers) further," added Tan, whose provincial government has imposed a state of emergency, restricted the movement of civilians and imposed a curfew on the 894-square-kilometre (345-square-mile) mainly Muslim island, home to about 645,000 people.

As the ASG ultimatum expires, Senator Richard Gordon was emotional as seen on the national television as held one press conference. Together, the Pope also stresses their diplomacy towards the ASG to release their captives as soon as possible.

Why submit to the call of this terrorist, if you do have the support of your allies and your own men of honor. The Philippine Armed Forces are very capable to embattle this insurgents. They have the knowledge of the terrain. That is why they do have the outskirts of the jungle in Indanan, Sulu in their grasp.

Why vacate the battlefield? In assuring that the hostages are not harmed? Well, if you really consider that option of retreating you are giving the terrorist an ample time to escape and to reload their ammunitions or even hide with the hostages. Thus, counting another months,days, or even years.

I obviously go for "NOT TO WITHDRAW", make the attack plans, do some war tactics, man your stations and re3ady for war...Not to withdraw their stronghold indeed. Increase your number and fortify the villages from another dilatory tactics or diversionary attacks.

But hare we ready for the consequences of our deeds? If you are an army officer that is very valiant and with honor. You will face this with no doubt. Be brave against this 120 insurgents, criminals, and terrorist.

In war with purpose you can not deny the fact of having collateral damage. The Armed Forces will never win this war in Mindanao or even solve this crisis without the guts of attacking in midst of criticism. DON NOT FOLLOW the M----er F---ing Terrorist. Follow your instinct to squash this Abu Sayyaf Group in Mindanao.

Saving the hostages still our primary option, but the total eradication of this Muslim Insurgents, Terrorist, Criminals, Man-Killers are the very top objective of this government...Am I right?

Never give in to the demands of this ABU SAYYAF...No government should negotiate with terrorist..That is our point here..That will be our Political Agenda.

Panlilio-Padaca tandem for 2010 elections

Amid reports that they might seek the two highest posts in the land in the 2010 elections, Pampanga Governor Ed Panlilio and Isabela Governor Grace Padaca on Monday reiterated that they are still mulling the possibility of running for president and vice president next year.

Panlilio, in an interview on GMA’s Unang Hirit, said that he is still discerning whether he will pursue a presidential bid, which he said is hinged on public clamor for a new brand of leadership.

While Isabela Governor Grace Padaca, states that, "Basta ako ang titignan ko, ano kaya ang magiging reaksyon ng mga tao, ng mga Pilipino, sa ganitong possibility...yun ang magiging basis ko, senyal naman siguro para sakin [I will look at the reaction of the Filipino people to this possibility...that will be my basis, perhaps a signal for me to run]," she said in an interview over radio dzBB.

Padaca said while she is not inclined to run for the country's second highest post, she will consider the push of several non-government organizations for a Panlilio-Padaca team-up in respect for the groups.

Panlilio and Padaca are members of the Kaya Natin! Movement for good governance and responsible citizenship.

On Sunday, the movement and several farmers’ organizations formed the Panlilio-Padaca Para sa Pagbabago (PPPP) launched their coalition for the Panlilio-Padaca tandem.

Activist priest Fr. Robert Reyes said the two governors could not only stamp out corruption in the government, but also restore dignity to public service.

Panlilio won in the 2007 gubernatorial elections in Pampanga, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s home province. In that same year, he bared Malacañang's P500,000 “gift" to governors at the height of an impeachment bid against the President.

Panlilio recently accused President Arroyo's son, Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo, of turning a blind eye in the rampant jueteng operations in his province.

President Arroyo awards Medal of Merit to the Late Francis Magalona

Malacañang on Wednesday awarded the late Francis Magalona with a posthumous Presidential Medal of Merit for promoting patriotism through his music.

The award was given to his family received by Pia Arroyo Magalona in the Palace’s Reception Hall.

Aside from the family of the "Master Rapper" there was his colleagues in the showbiz industry Dangerous Drugs Board Chairman Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon: the notable TVJ of showbiz.

This award was presented to Francis Magalona due to his excellence and patriotism indeed in the art of singing and composing songs with themes of heroism, nationalism and patriotism. Indeed the "Master Rapper" is an excellent example for the youth.

As remembered Magalona passed away last March 6 after succumbing to leukemia. He was 44 years old. For the last time "Kiko" So long and Thanks for your Music.

Senate Vote on the 11.3 billion Supplemental Budget

Here are the Philippine Senators who casts their votes on the midnight of Thursday for the 11.3 billion supplemental budget.

Those who voted against the bill were Senate Pro Tempore Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada, and opposition Senators Simeon Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, Francis Escudero, and Ma. Ana Consuelo "Jamby" Madrigal.

2010 automated polls budget updates III

The Senate passed the House-approved P11.3-billion supplemental budget for the automation of the elections on May 10, 2010 on Wednesday midnight. Thus, they have beaten the deadline.

“We are ready. There will be full automation nationwide,” COMELEC Chairman Jose Melo said in a press conference.

Instead of writing on ballots, voters will shade the spaces allotted for the names of candidates. The ballots will then be inserted into the optical machine readers to be placed in clustered precincts all over the country.

Although exhausted from almost seven hours of debate, main proponents Senators Edgardo Angara and Richard Gordon beamed after the presiding officer, Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, banged the gavel to adopt House Bill No. 5715, which the House of Representatives passed on Monday.

Angara said the supplemental budget was a landmark measure because it buried the electoral system introduced in the country since democratic elections started at the turn of the 20th century.

“It is the beginning of a new era of modern elections. I’m glad that my colleagues have embraced this march to modernization of the electoral process,” he said.

With nine of the 13 senators voting to support poll automation, Angara and Gordon declared in separate interviews after the plenary vote that the approval of the measure marked the end of the manual counting of votes in the country.

2010 automated polls budget updates II

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile on Wednesday said the chamber will adopt en toto the House version of the poll automation budget.

Enrile told reporters they will pass the automation budget on second third reading today hopefully.

The House of Representatives on Monday night approved on its final reading the House bill # 5715 known as the supplemental budget for automated polls in next year's national and local election with 193 of our Congressmen.

Perhaps all we can say for now is "Dream on...Philippines, Dream on".

As the national election of 2010 is fast-approaching, rumors still up on the air that this election will not going to happen. For Gloria still wants power and her allies want her to stay.

Well, let us all hope that this will never come true.

The law modernizing the elections, Republic Act 9369, was passed on Jan. 23, 2007. It updated and fine-tuned RA 8436, which authorized the Commission on Elections to use an automated system in the 1998 general elections. Eleven years after national hopes for modern elections were enshrined in law, Filipinos are still waiting for poll automation.

For eleven long years we are still waiting for this automation to happen we are still hoping until now.

Hope that we could taste for the very first an automated polls this coming 2010. Or should I say...let there be an election this 2010 first, be it automation or not.

The concept of "Right of Reply"....Senate Version

In responsible journalism we can talk and claim that a certain issue is being studied and clearly justified by some respected journalist in television, broadsheets, and in radio.

There is truly nothing wrong with that. Because we offer a place and time for a response on both parties. Each of the side must express and clarify if the certain issue is void or even unclear. That is the sole purpose of this concept. (Right of Reply).

But when this concept is being a subject of "dictation" or "dictating an act" it is unconstitutional per-se. Why? because in a free society especially here in the Philippines "DEMOCRACY" is intact. The highest law of the land strongly states and clearly manifested by the provision that "NO LAW SHOULD BE PASSED ABRIDGING THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS".

MILF and Erap Round 2

Today, a statement made by the MILF high command shook me.

In the post entitled "The ousted president’ talks again of all-out war" in the MILF website. Khaled Musa, deputy chairman of the MILF committee on information considering former Philippine President Estrada had no moral authority to speak on national issue, and in fact calling the past president as "no brains in running this country."

And arguing to the former president is pointless whom is a convicted criminal, aginig womanizer, and a plunderer as the Musa defines in an interview.

I am thinking of this scenario as an insult to our former president. There is a protocol among the past president to be acknowledge somehow, and that is the respect in their own person.

But still they are Muslims wanting to be separated from this country...no doubt they do not abide to a simple protocol and to our country's constitution and it's officials. May be it former or current..

No respect, no life....

When You Strike...STRIKE HARDER

This must be the rule of our Armed Forces here in the Philippines. Not just striking or firing shells it's just a waste of ammunition for Christ sakes.

The directive are clear, hot pursuit for this renegade devil minded Muslim rebels. It is not enough to establish our defensive points for a number of municipalities but to cut the MILF's access to the main streets and cities.

It is not also enough acting in pursuit or just doing a picnic walk on the skirts of the high mountains of Mindanao but destroy their lair, their territory is our land therefore treat them as the person who murdered your family.

The principle of the AFP should be like this...Instigate anger to the soldiers so that there is no other evil in the field but just them...

ARMM election is a Success

Amidst the call for a postponement of this year's ARMM election and a disastrous event of a war in North Cotabato. The election of the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao is a success over all. But this is not a 100% victory for the COMELEC's aim to restore their broken credibility from the grasp of ormer chairman BEn Abalos.

The manner of the election conducted was a "cake-walk" but the transmission of the results we're a much more terrible in part of the BEIs. But the root core of this success is that we have surpassed the delay of the election and its proclamation of the victors.

I hope there will be a 2010 election to see and experience the true results of the Automated voting. First time here in the Philippines. That will be the test in my point of view for the automated conduct of the election.

No To ARMM election Postponement!

There must be no one in contrast with our democracy. Even if you are the government.

You cannot defer the rule of democracy and of the law.

ARMM elections should push through and must not be postponed.

I agree with the vice-governor of North Cotabato in his saying that and I quote: "Where can you find a republic that adheres with the request of the bandit/insurgents to postpone the rule of democracy...Only here in the Philippines".

What on Earth is the government's idea or business in the ARMM region? On the first place I am confused in saying that this region is "autonomous" and it should be. right? But why the national government is keeping their cute-little asses in ARMM's political-civil affairs...

Another point that I should raise, is that Why this Representatives from the lower house wants a postponement? They want a postponement because the president says so. Right? How cheap of that reasoning...Plssss do some math in there. almost 10 days to go and you want to postpone the election without any clear and firm reason or point. Wasting an amount of 600 Millions of pesos (as the COMELEC states) is nothing for these cute and "nevermind" representatives.

The only reason here is that whatever the president wants, the Congressman and women is right there as fast as they could..."as you wish madam".

4-Day Work! Go!

I hope that the proposal for a 4-day work week will be progressive this year.

Because I believe, that this will not only ease the pain of commuting by the people in general but to ease the sufferings of our people due to low income and misfortunes in life such as the increasing world prices of oil and other basic commodities in the market today.

All we hope is that, some of our representatives in both house of Congress should think that our capacity to work with this amount of pay is low against the ravages of striking high prices of commodities and high prices of oil products. All we hope is that a 4-day work week can be a way to sustain our budget.

We are trying all ways and means to budget our earnings but we this environment of increasing products we are going to lose. One day minus is big plus for us.

Ces Drilon and Co. Freed

After a week in captivity, ABS-CBN anchor Ces Orena-Drilon and her cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion and the Msu professor Octavio Dinampo was freed last midnight by the alleged ABU SAYYAF terrorist group.

The group was escorted to the Indanan Mayor's residence and immediately taken to the airport to be flown back to Manila.

As of the moment families of the victims are contacted regarding to this development.

This goes for all of the public servants and alike. They are are called as an "elected" servants of the people as they must act like one.

But why does the Municipal Mayor of Oton here in the Province of Iloilo goes for the call to suspend the transportation sector and still playing a deaf ea for the public / commuters who are actually in need of the transportation to go to their destinations such as work, schools, and even to attend their businesses.

Mayor Flores, does not seem affected with this blog or calls of the people to have an initiative to lend a government's hand to help this community for a "ride" maybe not free.

You should been acting like a respectable and helping mayor of this municipality but why act as biased for only one sector (transportation). Are they the only one casting their sacred vote for you...? Or do you have "stocks" in their business? Or should I say; are you one of the stockholders of this transport sector in the district or in the municipality?

How much did you invest in this 3-day so-called "transport holiday"? Is this the start of your re-election campaign for the hearts of the transportation sector..but I am so sure, you will get a negative vote for the mass commuters in your constituency.

And may I add, of course I can this is my blog anyway.... Understand the forth-coming circumstances that will occur as a results with this events.

Because of what the president had done to this very memorable and important day of the nation. By changing the said holiday she has destroy the true relevance of this annual celebration.

As we all know, She had transfer the holiday from Thursday to Monday, where is the holiday there. How can we feel the true essence of freedom? And how we commemorate our nation's independence if the dates are to change.

Ha, its because she is an economist...just remember her thought of "economic holiday" for Christ's sake...

The Call for a SNAP Election

It is not a good time to tell the people of this stupid proposals. A snap election is an election to be held in an instant. And it is indeed a call to settle all things over. This must be in a legal process with the duly authority stating the reasons for this must go on.

It is not in a good timing for there is nothing to be settled. In fact all of the people right now is that 2010 presidential elections must push through without any reason.

People today are eager to see the present presidentiables to be in public and to campaign. Scrap this snap elections for we are in a deep crisis. We need a new president but we can wait for that time...

Philippine Flag's Day

May 28, the official day for the Philippine flag.

This day must be observed in all establishment here in our country. By having the national flag hoisted in a flag pole.

This must be properly observed and not just on this day but for all of the days in our calendar. For this is in the law. It is stated in Republic Act No. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.

Stating that all national facilities and establishment must obtain and and display the national flag. Keep it safe and in order.

But sad, to say there are establishment and even in our schools. There are flags that needs to be replaced for its appearance is not so good. For the flag is a representation of our beloved martyrs and heroes.

Let us treat our national emblems as a living matter. just like us human. Needed same care.

Esperon as Peace adviser

It is being a tradition that our public officials that retires in civil service will have a second round of delivering it again to the people or maybe should I say delivering it to the President?

In this case, former Army Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces (PAF) is now hailed as the Peace adviser of the government replacing Jesus Dureza who is appointed as the next Press Secretary of the Arroyo cabinet.

With this appointed and new designation of the newly retired army official protest and dislikes. But he vows to give all of his best to pursue the government's ideals of a peaceful and harmonious relationship with the Muslims in Mindanao. He will may be laying again his counter-insurgency initiatives and of the government.

But again and again, people might be thinking that the government is doing this for a reason. "To return the favor" isn't it? The administration might be doing this for the sake of thanking the good general for a non-continuity of the mutiny..
